| Customer Reviews: Great Value. Fun bike for casual rider. June 26, 2010 Clancy W. Black 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this bike for my wife and she really loves it. Set up was easy. If you've ever assembled a bike you won't have any problem with this one. They did short me a nut for attaching the fender, I just got one at Home Depot no problem. She says it is a very smooth ride, shifts easy and brakes well. I even tried it out and it's great. Excellent bike if you ride for fun or have a short commute.
Great bike August 14, 2010 Valerie 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This bike is exactly what I was hoping for! It was easy to put together and is comfortable to ride. The seat adjusted for my long legs and the gears shift smoothly. A Great bike at a very reasonable price and the super saver shipping was fast and free! Stop thinking about it and just buy it! You won't be sorry.
Great bike for the money August 11, 2010 Music City YBW (Nashville) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I ordered this bike after trying for about 3 weeks to get Amazon to ship me the Schwinn Discovery. I'm happy to say that it is a good bike, even though it wasn't what I originally wanted. It is a bit heavy, but not so much that it's difficult to get up and down the stairs of my apartment. It provides a smooth ride even over bumps. I'm used to riding mountain bikes so it took a bit of getting used to, but now I'm in love. Also the bike is a bit large, I'm just under 5'5 and it's very nearly too big for me(I have to drop the seat all the way down) so if you're a shorter woman this may not be your cycle of choice. I'm also a big fan of the fact that the rear rack matches the bike so it doesn't look like an after thought. It also makes the bike great for a commuter.I would have given a full five stars, but when I received and assembled my bike the wheels were not true and there were some issues with the gearing. I had to take it to my local sporting goods store to have it adjusted because those things were beyond my skill set. Now if I can find a good set of panniers or a basket to mount on the back rack I'm all set.
Solid Bike for the Casual Rider September 2, 2010 Steven Gargolinski (Boston) I bought this bike for my fiancee and we have been taking rides pretty much every day after work. Here's how I'd break down our experience:
Setup: Pretty easy as far as bikes go, although it will likely be tougher than you think if you've never put one together before. If this process intimidates you at all, it may make sense to bring it to a bike shop for setup.
Construction: I am not a bike expert, but once put together this bike seems solid. Shifting is easy and smooth and the brakes are responsive and easily adjustable. The only note is that this bike is a bit on the heavy side.
Ride: We typically go on rides between 5 and 15 miles, and this bike has done great so far. The shocks help to provide a smooth ride, and the bike handles well going up and down hills. No complaints here.
Overall: We're totally happy with this bike purchase, it's been great for our casual cycling. If you're looking for a bike for casual after-work rides, or maybe longer ones on the weekend - then you will probably not be disappointed with this one.
